I've been lacking a bit here as far as the wedding related posts I thought I'd throw out a bit of a teaser. A while back I mentioned we'd done our cake tasting and decided on our fav flavor. We loved it so much we decided to pick one flavor only....drum roll... it will be an italian cream cake!

Now, if you're like me, I had no idea what made an italian cream i googled it:

1 stick margarine, (4 ounces)
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1 cup buttermilk
1 small can flaked coconut
5 egg whites, stiffly beaten
1/2 cup shortening
5 egg yolks
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chopped pecans, or walnuts

I'm positive this is not the recipe that contains Froelichs family secret, but you get the idea. The filling is the best part, it a bit of a cherry concoction. Sounds a bit strange, but trust me, it's awesome!

sounds delicioius. can't wait to try and see it. sorry about the delay on the pizza. wish you and mike could have been there for it. the nurse was almost an hour late and seemed to stay forever! but we were all happy to see the both of you anyway!

o, no problem about the pizza! although i was a little bummed once i heard how AWESOME it was! haha. we were worried about the dogs, we usually don't leave them in their cages that long and were unsure about how long it would take us to get back with the holiday traffic. good to see everyone though and gpa!
